Stroke survivors face the daunting task of relearning the many basic skills previously taken for granted. Our post-stroke rehabilitation program focuses on improving function so patients can maintain their dignity and become as independent as possible.
Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, life enrichment therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, rehabilitation nurses, and mental health professionals work together to address the following areas:
- Paralysis or Poor Motor Control
- Sensory Disturbances
- Difficulty Using or Understanding Language/Aphasia
- Congitive Impairment/Thinking & Memory
Following a patient assessment, our team will develop a customized treatment plan that included realistic short and long term goals, as well as a transition plan for going back home. Family is an important component in the process, and are included throughout.
